Marušić began his football career at the Belgrade clubs FK Partizan, FK Teleoptik and FK Voždovac. In 2012, he became a member of the first team of Voždovac. In the 2012/2013 season he was promoted with Voždovac to the Super League. In 2014 he left for the Belgian KV Kortrijk, and in 2016 he moved to KV Oostende. In 2017 he became a player of the Italian club S.S. Lazio
