Edward Lozansky, Andrei Dmitrievich Sakharov "Andrei Sakharov and Peace."
Essays discuss Sakharov, Soviet dissidents, the Russian government, peace prospects, nuclear disarmament, and the disappearance of the Sakharovs.
This anthology collects some of the briefer writings and recent letters of the famous Soviet physicist and human rights activist, along with a variety of essays about him by fellow emigres, scientists, and journalists. Almost half the selections originally appeared in periodicals or books such as the similar collection, "On Sakharov."
A few contributions update reports on the condition of Sakharov and his wife in internal exile.
